Lunch is enjoyed on the fountain terrace under a spreading pepper tree while dinner is enjoyed in the elegant but relaxed dining room in the original manor house. Things To Do In Franschoek
Food & Wine First and foremost Franschhoek is about food and wine – and lots of it! The number of top rated restaurants together with the excellent boutique wine farms of the Franschhoek Valley makes this the most perfect place to visit in all of South Africa for food and wine lovers! In addition to the Franschhoek Wine Valley the Stellenbosch and Paarl wine routes are both within a scenic half an hour’s drive of Franschhoek offering an even wider choice. The wine routes are easy to navigate, however, we can easily arrange a guided wine and cellar tour on your behalf should you prefer!
The Town of Franschhoek – this charming town, encircled by mountains offers a range of shops for all interest including:
