Terms & Rates – The Tour Includes/Excludes

TERMS & RATES

The price of the tour includes:

All accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis unless otherwise stated in the itinerary.

All airfares within South Africa

All land transfers to and from hotels and golf courses on escorted and fully escorted tours.

All activities listed in the itinerary unless they are listed as optional.

All green fees at all golf courses.

The price of the tour excludes:

All items of a personal nature: meals, drinks, entrance fees, porterage, tours and transfers not specified in the itinerary.

Visas (not necessary if you are carrying a USA passport).  The South African Government does however require that your passport is valid for at least 6 months past your arrival date.

Any unrelated excursions

Any new government taxes

Winelands to Wildlife 8-Day Tour

Day 1
Upon arrival in Cape Town we will check into the Twelve Apostles Hotel. This evening we will take a sunset cruise of Cape Town Harbor and Table Bay. Dinner will be taken at the hotel.

Day 2
Today we will be playing golf at Erinvale Estate. This course has held 2 South African Open Championships. Following our golf, we will be transported to the Speir Winery for lunch at the Moya restaurant. This restaurant also gives us the chance to view one of South Africa’s cheetah breeding projects that is on the premises. Non-golfers will have the chance to visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and then meet up with the golfers for lunch at the winery. Dinner will be taken at Blues Café in Camps Bay.

Day 3
Today we will be playing golf at The Atlantic Beach Golf Links. This course hosts the South African Qualifier for the British Open each year. This is a traditional links golf course and in the wind, it can be a very interesting golf course. In the afternoon, we will take a tour by cable car up to the top of Table Mountain for a scenic view of Cape Town. Non-golfers will take a tour of Robben Island. This is where former South African President Nelson Mandela was imprisoned during the apartheid years in South Africa. After the tour, non-golfers will join the rest of the group for the tour up Table Mountain. Dinner will be taken at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

Day 4
We will take an early morning flight from Cape Town to the city of George. Upon arrival, we will be transported to The Fancourt Estate. After check in, we will play golf at Fancourt Estate. Non-golfers will spend the day relaxing by the pool or using their 300 rand voucher for the spa. Dinner will be taken at the Fancourt Estate.

Day5
This morning, we will be playing golf at the Links Course at Fancourt. This course was the home of the 2003 Presidents Cup, which ended up in a tie. Non-golfers will have the opportunity to visit the town of Knysna for a tour of the city and beaches. Dinner will be taken at the Fancourt Estate.

Day 6
This morning we will take an early morning flight from George via Johannesburg to the African Bush. Upon arrival in the bush, we will be transported to a private game reserve. This evening, we will be treated to a night drive in search of Africa’s Big 5: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. After the drive, we will have dinner under the stars in the African bush.
 

Day 7
After our early morning wake up, we will go out on an early morning game drive in search of more of Africa’s wildlife. We will enjoy coffee and tea as the sun rises over the African bush. After our game drive, we will arrive back at the lodge for a hearty breakfast. The rest of the day will be spent relaxing and waiting for our night drive.

Day 8
This morning we will take an escorted bush walk through the African bush to learn about tracking Africa’s wildlife and see some of her smaller and less known creatures. After our walk, we will be treated to a hearty bush breakfast. After breakfast, we will be transported to the airport for our flight back to Johannesburg to connect to our international flight back home.

This morning, golfers will be treated to The Gary Player Country Club. This is considered South Africa’s most difficult golf course. Non-golfers will be given a 400 rand voucher for a run of the house use. Dinner will be taken at the Sun City complex.

Day 10
The final day of our adventure tour will start of with a bike ride down Swartberg Pass. Following this the tour will take ‘Route 62″ through the scenic Robertson wine region back to Cape Town where our tour ends. [B L]

This morning, golfers will play the Lost City Golf Club. This course was designed by Gary Player and features a par three that has a green surrounded by crocodiles. After golf we will be escorted to the Mabalingwe Game Reserve. Here we will over night at the reserve with a nighttime game drive. Dinner will be taken at the lodge.

Day 11
Today, golfers will be treated to golf at the Mabalingwe Golf Estate. This is your chance to play golf with Africa’s plains game. You may even get a chance to hit a shot with a giraffe in the gallery. Non-golfers will spend the day enjoying the different safari activities at Mabalingwe. Dinner will be taken at the lodge.

Day 12
Today, golfers will have a chance for an early morning tee time at Mabalingwe Golf Estate. Non-golfers will have the chance for one last early morning game drive. After breakfast, we will be escorted back to Johannesburg for our international flight home.
